OpTic Texas Makes Surprise Roster Swap: Pred Returns to Replace League-Leading Huke

OpTic wins CDL Major 3 trophy
OpTic Texas has announced a significant roster change, bringing back Pred to replace Huke on their starting lineup. This move comes less than two months after Huke had initially replaced Pred.
Pred, who won the 2024 CDL Championship with OpTic, returns to the team after stepping away in December to address personal issues. The team has presented this as a celebratory homecoming for their championship-winning player.
Despite leading the league in overall K/D ratio and Hardpoint K/D during his tenure (according to BreakingPoint.gg), Huke's departure has sparked controversy among fans. Under his leadership, OpTic reached the second round of the elimination bracket in Major One before being eliminated by the Carolina Royal Ravens with a 3-1 score.
The timing of this roster change is particularly notable, as Major Two begins on February 14, with the LAN event hosted by OpTic in Dallas, Texas, starting March 20. Huke is now a free agent, though his strong performance suggests he may find opportunities with other CDL teams.
