Season Three ran from February 1, 2013, to October 6, 2013, with its pre-season starting on November 20, 2012. Major changes were introduced with patch V1.0.0.152 on December 4, 2012.

Game Balance Changes:

  • Increased ambient gold gain (16 from 13 per 10 seconds)
  • Adjusted minion gold values
  • Modified kill/death streak rewards
  • Reduced assist gold bonus to 150% from 158%

Jungle Updates:

  • Increased initial camp difficulty
  • Redistributed camp rewards
  • New leashing mechanics
  • Added new jungle-specific items

Item Changes:

  • Removed 11 items including Heart of Gold and Force of Nature
  • Reworked 23 items including Phantom Dancer and Guardian Angel
  • Added new items in categories:
