Wukong is a vastayan trickster and the last student of the ancient martial art of Wuju. Armed with an enchanted staff crafted by Master Doran, he uses his strength, agility, and intelligence to protect Ionia from ruin.

Originally named Kong, he was a member of the Shimon, a monkey-like Vastayan tribe known for seeking wisdom and turning to stone upon death. After being exiled for his constant pranks, he proclaimed himself "The Monkey King" and challenged humans to duels.

His life changed upon meeting Master Yi, the last master of Wuju, in the ruins of the destroyed Wuju village. After numerous failed attempts to defeat Yi, Kong became his student. Yi renamed him Wukong and gifted him a special staff reserved for elite Wuju practitioners.
