Kanye West has declared The Last of Us Part II as "the best game ever made" in a recent Instagram story posted on January 1. The rapper revealed he's tackling the game on its most challenging Survivor+ difficulty mode, stating he's "spending all day on one board."

The Last of Us Part II, released in 2020, has received widespread acclaim in the gaming industry. The game won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2020, competing against notable titles like Hades, Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, and Doom Eternal. It maintains a 93 critic score on Metacritic and ranks among PlayStation 4's top 10 highest-rated games. PC players can look forward to its release on April 3.

The franchise's success extends beyond gaming, with HBO's television adaptation starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey achieving the network's second-largest premiere with 4.7 million viewers. A second season is currently in development, with showrunners suggesting it could span three seasons, targeting an early 2025 release.
