
Helldivers 2 Feb. 4 Patch Brings Major Weapon and Vehicle Updates

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Patch 01.002.101 for Helldivers 2, addressing multiple gameplay issues and implementing significant balance changes.

Key Updates:
Spray Weapons:
- Status effect duration increased from 6 to 10 seconds
- TX-41 Sterilizer: Removed crosshair drift recoil and reduced camera climb
Guard Dog Backpack (AX/TX-13):
- Complete targeting system rework
- Range increased from 10m to 20m
- Now prioritizes unaffected enemies
- Targeting originates from Helldiver's position
- Improved drone roaming behavior
Stratagems:
- Minefield cooldowns reduced from 180s to 120s
- MD-6 Anti-Personnel Mine damage doubled (350 to 700)
- MD-I4 Incendiary Mine damage increased (210 to 300)
- Mine deployment spread increased by 20%
SH-20 Ballistic Shield:
- Now blocks melee attacks
- Breaks after sustained damage
Vehicle Improvements:
- FRV handling improved with better cornering
- Reduced drifting
- Can now deploy grenades and stratagems while leaning out

Additional Changes:
- Sidearms: Increased starting magazines (2 to 3) and spare magazines (4 to 5)
- Health packs now fully restore all stims
- Two-handed items can be carried while jogging
- Emoting while flying and ragdolling restored
- Fixed Illuminate spawner ship shield issues
- Reduced vehicle explosion sensitivity
The Siege-Ready Armor Passive bug affecting all magazine-based weapons will remain as an intended feature following positive community feedback.
