Bungie has confirmed that the new Exotic weapon Finality's Auger from Destiny 2's Sundered Doctrine dungeon is not dropping as intended. The developer is actively investigating the issue and working on a solution.

Data from Warmind.io shows only 37,851 drops of Finality's Auger, matching almost exactly with the 37,850 drops of the Last Erasure emblem from the dungeon's contest mode completion - indicating a likely connection between the two that shouldn't exist.

The drop rate bug is one of several issues introduced with Episode Heresy, including another significant bug in the Sundered Doctrine dungeon where bosses in the Zoetic Lockset encounter aren't taking critical damage as intended.

This comes during a challenging period for Destiny 2, following:

• Eight months of disappointing content
• Record low player counts according to SteamCharts
• Two rounds of company layoffs since Lightfall
• Previous seasons affected by major glitches

UPDATE: Bungie has found a fix that they plan to implement as soon as tomorrow, pending validation. They will also temporarily increase Finality's Auger's drop rate after the fix is deployed.

For now, players may want to wait before attempting to acquire the Exotic, though other dungeon loot and the Drowning Labyrinth quest continue to function normally.
