
CS2 Premier Season 2 Update: M4A4 Price Drop, Train Returns, and Complete MMR Reset

Valve has launched Counter-Strike 2's second Premier season alongside significant gameplay updates and map pool changes. Here's everything you need to know about the latest patch.

Key Changes:
- Premier Season 2 begins with complete rank reset
- Season 1 players receive commemorative medals
- CS Rating recalibration based on Season 1 performance
- Train added to Active Duty map pool
- Vertigo removed from Active Duty
Weapon Updates:
- M4A4 price reduced to $2,900
- FAMAS accuracy improved and price reduced to $1,950
- MP9, MP5-SD, and MP7 crouching accuracy reduced
- AUG/SG scope dot adjusted for better long-range use
Quality of Life Improvements:
- New dynamic radar zoom option
- Updated grenade order in spectator UI
- Increased bomb visibility in UI
- Added fallback logic for incomplete demo playback
- Fixed R8 Revolver secondary fire exploit
- Counter-strafe summaries added to server logs
Map Changes:
- Removed boost angle from Long Dog to Bombsite A
- Fixed lighting artifacts on double-sided materials
The update coincides with IEM Katowice 2025, the first major LAN tournament of the year, which began on January 29.
