Street Fighter 6 has broken all-time registration records for Evo, the world's largest fighting game tournament, surpassing the previous record held by Street Fighter V in 2016 with 5,107 participants.

Key highlights:

  • Registration remains open until July 9
  • SF6 leads all games in player registrations for Evo 2023
  • Previous record holder was Street Fighter V (Evo 2016) with 5,107 players
  • This will be the largest documented fighting game tournament in history

The tournament is also the first stop on the $2 million Capcom Pro Tour circuit. Other popular titles at Evo 2023 include:

  • Guilty Gear Strive
  • Tekken 7
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

This record-breaking turnout signals a strong future for fighting games, with upcoming releases like Mortal Kombat 1 (September) and Tekken 8 expected to further boost the fighting game community's growth.
