Project Pantheon: Wolcen Studio Reveals Revolutionary ARPG with Extraction Elements

Wolcen Studio has unveiled Project Pantheon, an innovative ExtrAction RPG that combines hack-and-slash action with extraction gameplay mechanics in a dark fantasy setting. The game will be free-to-play and is currently preparing for its first Closed Alpha test.

The game takes place in a strange afterlife where players, commissioned by Death itself, must help restore order to a fractured reality. Players will explore diverse maps, engage in dynamic combat, and risk their gear during extractions while building and upgrading their fortress base.

Closed Alpha Testing Schedule:

  • European Players: January 25-26, 2025
  • North American Players: February 1-2, 2025

Game Director Andrei Chirculete describes Project Pantheon as "what would happen if Diablo and Escape From Tarkov had a baby," highlighting the unique fusion of gameplay styles. The initial release will feature The Realm of Fate, inspired by Nordic mythology, with plans to expand into other cultural mythologies.

The game has been in development for over a year and will incorporate player feedback to shape its future development. Wolcen Studio, known for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem which sold over 1.6 million units, brings together more than 100 professionals worldwide for this new project.
