Omen Temporarily Disabled in VALORANT Due to Dark Cover Wallhack Bug
A game-breaking bug discovered after Patch 10.10 forced Riot Games to temporarily disable Omen across all VALORANT game modes during the game's 5th anniversary celebration on June 2, 2025.

The critical bug allowed players to see enemy positions and hear their footsteps through Omen's Dark Cover signature ability, essentially creating a wallhack effect.

The issue was first reported by Wolves Esports coach Fayde on May 31, who shared video evidence of the exploit during a match on Lotus. The clip showed players could clearly detect enemies while phased during the initial cast of Dark Cover.
Riot Games responded two days later by disabling Omen at 5:15 PM PT, citing the unintended ability to see enemies through teammates' view as the primary concern. The developer promised a quick resolution to the issue.
True to their word, Riot successfully fixed the bug and re-enabled Omen on June 3. The Dark Cover ability now functions as intended, with no remaining issues reported.
This isn't Omen's first temporary removal from the game, as previous disablements have occurred due to teleporting exploits and other ability-related glitches.
