Mecha BREAK, a new PVP mecha action game, has overcome initial review bombing to become one of Steam's top 10 most-played titles. The game combines elements similar to Armored Core 6 with multiplayer shooter mechanics, scheduled for release in 2025.

The free-to-play demo, launched on February 20, attracted over 300,000 concurrent players globally, reaching Steam's sixth position during peak hours. Developed by Chinese studio Amazing Seasun Games, the game features massive combat mechs battling in expansive maps and narrative missions against AI opponents.

While maintaining a "Mostly Positive" rating (74% recommended) in international regions, the game faced significant criticism in China. Issues cited include:

• Grindy gameplay mechanics
• Unskippable tutorial sections
• Forced PVP elements
• Server stability problems in Chinese regions

Despite these initial challenges, Mecha BREAK continues to maintain strong player numbers internationally, positioning itself for a successful global launch later in 2025.
