League of Legends players have expressed strong disappointment with Riot Games' latest Grand Reckoning skin line, particularly regarding Alistar's new skin.

The Grand Reckoning collection, themed around the region of Noxus, is scheduled for release in Act Two of the 2025 League season. While the skin line features several champions, Alistar's skin - which will be available as a free battle pass reward - has drawn significant criticism from the community.

Players on Reddit have labeled the skin as "low effort," noting that it appears to be little more than a basic chroma with minimal Noxus-themed red accents. One player commented, "Holy shit. That's gotta be a new low," while another stated, "Imagine buying the battle pass to get skins of this quality, these might as well be worth nothing."

This controversy follows recent community backlash regarding other Riot decisions, including:

  • The release of Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser exalted skin
  • Ongoing concerns about battle pass value
  • Calls for the return of Hextech chests
  • Criticism of what players consider predatory pricing

While Riot has acknowledged player dissatisfaction with battle passes, they've confirmed that changes won't be implemented in the upcoming Act Two battle pass.
