League of Legends features several distinct maps, each offering unique gameplay experiences:
Summoner's Rift The primary competitive map featuring three lanes (top, mid, bottom) and jungle areas between them. Each lane has three turrets and the base is protected by two additional turrets. The jungle contains neutral monsters including the Baron and Dragon as epic objectives.

Howling Abyss A single-lane map set in the Freljord featuring two lane turrets and two nexus turrets per team. Players cannot recall or heal in base but can use healing shrines near turrets.
Arena: Rings of Wrath A 2v2v2v2 format featuring five unique battlegrounds:
- Ancestral Woods (Ionian-themed with cherry trees)
- Desert Oasis (Shuriman-themed with monoliths)
- Frostbite Thicket (Freljordian-themed with tundra)
- Magma Chamber (Magic-infused stone terrain)
- Koi Pond (Ixtal-themed with mystical patterns)
Each arena can feature NPC champion "cameos" that appear as oversized characters affecting gameplay.
