The Maneater is a unique creature in Lethal Company that requires careful handling. Originally introduced in version 60, it starts as a baby that needs attention and can transform into a dangerous adult if neglected.

Where to Find the Maneater

Spawn Locations and Chances:

• Vow: 14.21%
• Adamance: 10.59%
• Assurance: 9.47%
• Offense: 7.46%
• Artifice: 3.48%
• March: 2.86%
• Dine: 2.33%

The creature appears in Mineshaft maps and some Factory interiors, capable of swimming in cave pools and moving throughout the entire area.

How to Handle the Maneater

Baby Form:

• Pick up and rock the baby when it cries
• Respond within 8-16 seconds to prevent transformation
• Don't take it outside
• Only one Maneater can spawn at a time

Adult Form:

• Transforms in shadows when neglected
• Listen for layered cry with low growl
• Can be avoided by moving away from cry sounds
• Easier to outrun in mines than caves

Combat and Survival:

• Killable with 4 Shovel hits or 1 Shotgun bullet
• Avoid attacking in baby form
• Adult form kills instantly
• Watch for lunging attack animation
• Run when it prepares to attack
