The game centers around a mission for Fazbear Entertainment to recover technology from Edwin Murray's warehouse. Players will encounter the Mimic, a sophisticated prototype endoskeleton capable of transforming into any character or costume, adding a new layer of psychological horror to the franchise.
The story delves into Edwin Murray's tragic past. As a former Fazbear Entertainment engineer, Murray created the Mimic to care for his son David. After David's death in a vehicle accident, Murray's relationship with the Mimic deteriorated, as it continued to imitate his deceased son. Now, the Mimic has evolved, potentially becoming violent and deceptive.
The gameplay trailer showcases various animatronics, including Jackie, Music Man, and new animal-themed characters like an Elephant, Dog, and Tiger. The game appears to follow the successful formula of FNAF: Security Breach, featuring puzzle elements and a multi-level warehouse setting that includes outdoor areas.
