Effective Sett Counters & Counter Tips - LoL Season 14
Laning Against Sett
Sett excels in extended early-game trades due to his high physical damage output. Avoid prolonged auto-attack exchanges and opt for short trades instead.
Be especially cautious after level 6, as Sett's Ultimate (R) provides strong kill pressure. Maintain healthy HP levels and avoid overextending to prevent easy kills or Jungler ganks.
Keep the minion wave near your tower early game to limit Sett's kill potential and lane dominance. This is particularly important for champions weak in early game matchups.
Fighting Sett in Team Fights
Position your team with adequate spacing to prevent multi-target stuns from Sett's E ability. Proper spacing significantly reduces his team fight impact.
During objective sieges, maintain distance to avoid being grabbed by his Ultimate (R) and thrown into your team. Linear formations make you particularly vulnerable to this combo.
When Sett split pushes in side lanes, either coordinate a pick attempt on him or force an advantageous 5v4 fight with his team.
Critical Power Spikes
- Level 1: Exceptionally strong in early trades
- Level 6: Significant kill pressure with Ultimate (R)
- Mid-game: High dueling potential when not behind
