Bungie has announced an unprecedented second contest mode for Destiny 2's Sundered Doctrine dungeon due to PlayStation Network connectivity issues during the initial launch. The decision ensures all players get a fair chance at experiencing the challenging content.
The original contest mode, scheduled for February 7-9, was significantly impacted by PSN service instability, preventing many PlayStation users from participating. While the world-first race has concluded, the upcoming second contest mode will be available across all platforms at a date to be announced.

- Reduced damage output
- Special rewards including:
- Guaranteed Exotic
- Exclusive emblems
- Unique rewards
This marks the first time Bungie has offered a complete second weekend of contest mode, expanding upon their previous extension of Vow of the Disciple's contest mode from 24 to 48 hours due to similar service interruptions.
