Cloud9 defeated Mousesports 16-11 on Train to advance to the final round of the PGL Major Krakow group stage, keeping North American hopes alive as the region's sole representative.

Starting on the T-side, Cloud9 stayed competitive through a close first half, trailing 8-7. Their CT-side defense proved dominant, with Timothy "autimatic" Ta leading the charge with 29 kills. Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham contributed 19 kills, including several crucial clutch plays.

The victory comes after Cloud9's recent strong performances, including a second-place finish at ESL One Cologne. Following an overtime loss to G2 Esports earlier in the tournament, they've managed to stay alive and will compete among six teams for a playoff spot on Thursday.

"We're still in it," stated Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert post-game, emphasizing the team's resilience as North America's only qualifier after Team Liquid and OpTic Gaming failed to make the cut.

For Mousesports, the elimination means they'll need to requalify for the next major, a disappointing outcome for a team that entered the tournament with high expectations.
