Baldur's Gate 3's Next Patch Brings 12 New Subclasses and Cross-Platform Play
Larian Studios has announced major additions coming to Baldur's Gate 3 in Patch 8, introducing significant new features that expand the game's already extensive content.

The update will add 12 new subclasses, one for each existing class, including popular D&D options such as:
- College of Glamour Bard
- Hexblade Warlock
- Bladesinging Wizard
- Drunken Master Monk
- Shadow Magic Sorcerer

The patch also introduces two highly anticipated features:
- Full Crossplay Support:
- PC and console players can now play together
- Cross-progression functionality included
- Seamless integration across all platforms
- Dedicated Photo Mode:
- Custom camera angles and lighting controls
- Post-processing options
- Photo filters, stickers, and frames
- Enhanced character posing capabilities
Additional content includes bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, and special Christmas-themed puzzles with rewards. Larian plans to begin stress testing Patch 8 in early 2025, with the full release expected shortly after.
